Who We Are

Florence UMC is a United Methodist Reconciling Church. We believe in and seek to follow the inclusive love of Christ by embracing the sacred worth of all individuals with open hearts and open minds. We are a small congregation that believes that God has work for us to do as we travel the road of faith together in response to the Call of Christ.

Our Work

Our church is actively involved in serving the local community through coordinating and hosting a twice weekly free lunch program, acts of compassionate care for individuals in need, appreciation bags for our local teachers and school staff, and hosting community groups and events that support human rights and justice ministries.

What to Expect

When you come to Florence UMC, you'll find a warm, welcoming and heartfelt worship with traditional and contemporary music styles and preaching that inspires, nurtures and challenges our daily living.
You'll find a church family that enjoys worshipping, studying, serving, playing and eating together and will welcome the newcomer with open arms and hearts.
You will see that we are largely a retirement age congregation, but we have space in our pews and in our hearts for people of all ages and eagerly welcome children and youth.
At Florence UMC you will find friends and a community that will support and encourage you as you explore your faith journey, interests and gifts and discover ways to invest those blessings in the community and world as we seek to share the love of Christ together.
